Furious, the Dragon King sent his son, Ao Bing, to arrest the boy. In the ensuing battle, the spirited Ne Zha used his divine weapons to defeat and kill the dragon prince. When the grieving Ao Guang threatened to flood the city and destroy Ne Zha’s family in retaliation, the young hero chose to sacrifice his own body to appease the heavens and save his people. His soul was later resurrected in a body made of lotus blossoms by his master, Taiyi Zhenren, allowing him to return as a powerful deity to defend the innocent against all forms of evil.
