The Dogs and the Hides

Some dogs, famished with hunger, came across a number of cowhides steeping in a river. Their mouths watered at the sight, but unfortunately, they were unable to reach the hides. In their desperation, they devised a plan to drink up the river in hopes of getting closer to the coveted hides.

However, in their eagerness and greed, they drank far too much water. Long before they could even get near the hides, they burst themselves from overindulgence.

This story serves as a reminder: Do not attempt the impossible.
